Vegas Social Media Milestones

How time flies. Three years ago this month I joined a little known service called Twitter and then that summer became a complete Facebook convert. As we enter 2010 I thought it might be fun and informative to look back at these last few years of “social media” and it’s relation to the city I live in: Las Vegas. Below is a rough draft of milestones I believe have shaped the way Vegas uses these tools to interact, market and—to a certain degree—create a more tight-knit community.

Note: Under the list you’ll find some questions I still have and would love your help in answering them or providing other additions you think should be on here. Consider this a collaborative list that relies on social media to make it comprehensive. If I do use your info I’ll include your name in the “special thanks” section of this post.

2005
